Description
The body (shaft) of second metacarpal bone is the short, thin, tubular part of the bone. It is located between the head and base of the second metacarpal bone. It consists of medial and lateral surfaces and provides origin sites for the first and second dorsal and first palmar interossei muscles of hand.
