Description
The body (shaft) of third metatarsal bone is the short, thin, tubular part of the bone. It is located between the head and base of the third metatarsal bone. It consists of medial and lateral surfaces and provides origin sites for the second and third dorsal and first plantar interossei muscles of the foot.
