Description

The body (shaft) of ulna is the long, tubular part of the bone. It is located between the proximal and distal parts of the ulna.

Its proximal half is triangular in cross-section, while its distal half is more cylindrical in shape. Its thickness gradually tapers towards the distal part of ulna. The body of ulna consists of:

—three surfaces (anterior, posterior and medial);

—three borders (anterior, posterior and interosseous).
