Description

The capitate articular facet is the concave, laterally located area found on the distal surface of the lunate bone. It is one of the three facets found on the distal surface of the lunate bone, the other two being the triquetrum and hamate articular facets.

The capitate articular facet articulates with the lunate articular facet of the capitate bone, forming the lunocapitate joint.
