Description

The crest of greater tubercle (lateral lip of intertubercular sulcus, lateral lip of bicipital groove, external bicipital ridge, posterior bicipital ridge, or pectoral ridge) is the rough, longitudinal ridge located on the anteromedial aspect of the greater tubercle. It forms the posterolateral boundary of the intertubercular sulcus, and its inferior end is continuous with the anterior border of the humerus.

The crest of greater tubercle provides an insertion site for the pectoralis major muscle.
