Description

The crest of lesser tubercle (medial lip of intertubercular sulcus, medial lip of bicipital groove, internal bicipital ridge, or anterior bicipital ridge) is the sharp, longitudinal ridge located on the posterolateral aspect of the lesser tubercle. It forms the anteromedial boundary of the intertubercular sulcus, and its inferior end is continuous with the medial border of the humerus.

The crest of lesser tubercle provides an insertion site for the teres major muscle.
