Description

The distal surface is the concave, articular, inferior aspect of the lunate bone. It contains three articular facets:

—the medially located triquetrum articular facet of lunate bone;

—the centrally located hamate articular facet of lunate bone;

—the laterally located capitate articular facet of lunate bone.
