Description

The fourth metatarsal articular facet is the crescent-shaped, laterally located area on the distal articular surface of the lateral cuneiform bone. It is smaller of the two articular facets found on the distal articular surface of the lateral cuneiform bone, the other being the third metatarsal articular facet.

It articulates with the lateral cuneiform articular facet of the fourth metatarsal bone, contributing to the formation of the tarsometatarsal joints.
