Description
The head of fifth metatarsal bone is the expanded, rounded, distal end of the bone. It is the distal continuation of its body. It contains a distal articular facet and provides attachment sites for the collateral, accessory collateral and plantar ligaments of the fifth metatarsophalangeal joint.
