Description

The head of scapula is the expanded, lateral part of the lateral angle of the bone. It is continuous:

—medially, with the neck of scapula;

—anteriorly, with the coracoid process.

It contains the infraglenoid and supraglenoid tubercles and the glenoid fossa of the scapula.
