Description
The inferior (lower) border is the lower margin of the ramus of ischium. It is one of the two borders of the ramus of ischium, the other being the superior border. It separates, inferiorly, the internal and external surfaces of the ramus of ischium. Its anteromedial end is continuous with the medial border of inferior pubic ramus, while its posterolateral end is continuous with the dorsal surface of body of ischium.
The inferior border of ramus of ischium provides an attachment site for the fascia lata and, along with the medial border of inferior pubic ramus, contributes to the margin that forms the pubic arch.
