Description
The inner (internal) lip of iliac crest is the internal edge of the ventral region of the iliac crest. It is one of two lips of the iliac crest, the other being the outer lip, both of which surround the intermediate zone of iliac crest.
The inner lip of iliac crest provides an origin site for the transversus abdominis muscle, and an insertion site for the quadratus lumborum muscle.
