Description

The intermediate zone of linea aspera is the narrow, rough area found along the linea aspera that is bounded by its medial and lateral lips. Its superior end is continuous with the pectineal line of femur.

The intermediate zone of linea aspera provides insertion sites for the adductor magnus and adductor brevis muscles.
