Description

The interosseous border (interosseous crest or lateral border) of tibia is the sharp margin found along the posterolateral aspect of the bone. It is one of the three borders of the tibia, the other two being the anterior and medial borders, and it separates the lateral and posterior surfaces of the tibia.

The interosseous border extends inferiorly from the lateral aspect of the lateral condyle of tibia to its fibular notch. It provides an attachment site for the interosseous membrane of leg.
