Description

The interosseous border (interosseous crest) of fibula is the margin located along the medial aspect of the bone. It is one of the three borders of the fibula, the other two being the anterior and posterior borders, and it separates the anterior and posterior surfaces of the fibula.

The interosseous border extends inferiorly from the anteromedial aspect of the neck of fibula to the anteromedial aspect of the lateral malleolus and it provides an attachment site for the interosseous membrane of leg.
