Description

The lateral border is the posterolaterally located margin of the inferior pubic ramus. It is one of the two borders of the inferior pubic ramus, the other being the medial border of inferior pubic ramus, and it separates, posterolaterally, the internal and external surfaces of the inferior pubic ramus. Its inferior end is continuous with the superior border of ramus of ischium.

The lateral border of inferior pubic ramus contributes to the margin that forms the obturator foramen and provides an attachment site for the obturator membrane.
