Description
The lateral border of patella forms its lateral margin. It separates, laterally, the anterior and articular surfaces of the patella, is continuous superiorly with the base of patella, and converges with the medial border at the apex of patella.
The lateral border of patella provides an insertion site for the vastus lateralis muscle.
