Description

The lateral process of calcaneal tuberosity is the rough, laterally located projection found along the plantar surface of the calcaneus. It is the smaller of the two processes that make up the calcaneal tuberosity, the other being the medial process.

The lateral process of calcaneal tuberosity provides an origin site for the abductor digiti minimi muscle.
