Description

The lateral surface is the rough, convex area on the lateral aspect of the cuboid bone. It is one of the six surfaces of the cuboid bone, the other five being the plantar, dorsal and medial surfaces, and the proximal and distal articular surfaces.

The lateral surface of cuboid bone contains part of the groove for tendon of fibularis longus muscle and provides an attachment site for dorsal tarsometatarsal ligaments.
