Description

The lateral surface is the rectangular, concave area on the lateral aspect of the intermediate cuneiform bone. It is one of the six surfaces of the intermediate cuneiform bone, the other five being the plantar, dorsal and medial surfaces, and the proximal and distal articular surfaces.

The lateral surface contains the lateral cuneiform articular facet.
