Description

The lateral surface of navicular bone is the rough area on the lateral aspect of the bone. It is one of the six surfaces of the navicular bone, the other five being the plantar, dorsal and medial surfaces, and the proximal and distal articular surfaces.

The lateral surface of navicular bone contains the cuboid articular facet and provides attachment sites for the bifurcate and dorsal cuboideonavicular ligaments.
