Description

The lunate articular facet of radius is the quadrangular, medially located area found on the inferior aspect of the distal part of the bone. It is one of two facets that make up the carpal articular surface of the radius, the other being the scaphoid articular facet of the radius.

The lunate articular facet of radius articulates with the radial articular facet of the lunate bone, forming the radiolunate joint. This joint contributes to the formation of the radiocarpal (wrist) joint.
