Description

The lunate articular facet is the quadrilateral area found on the proximolateral aspect of the triquetrum bone. It articulates with the triquetrum articular facet of the lunate bone, forming the lunotriquetral joint. It also provides an attachment site for the lunotriquetral interosseous ligament, which connects the lunate and triquetrum bones.
