Description

The medial border of fibula is the sharp, longitudinal ridge found along the posterior surface of the bone. It extends inferiorly from the posteromedial aspect of the head of the fibula, and its lower portion curves medially to end at the distal half of the interosseous border of the fibula.

The medial border of fibula provides an attachment site for the deep fascia that separates the tibialis posterior and flexor hallucis longus muscles.
