Description

The medial border is the anteromedially located margin of the inferior pubic ramus. It is one of the two borders of the inferior pubic ramus, the other being the lateral border of inferior pubic ramus, and it separates, anteromedially, the internal and external surfaces of the inferior pubic ramus. Its superior end is continuous with the symphyseal surface of body of pubis, while its inferior end is continuous with the inferior border of ramus of ischium.

The medial border of inferior pubic ramus provides an attachment site for the fascia lata, and, along with the inferior border of ramus of ischium, contributes to the margin that forms the pubic arch.
