Description
The medial border of the patella forms its medial margin. It separates, medially, the anterior and articular surfaces of the patella, is continuous superiorly with the base of the patella, and converges with the lateral border at the apex of the patella.
The medial border of the patella provides an insertion site for the vastus medialis muscle.
