Description
The medial epicondyle (internal epicondyle) of humerus is the subcutaneous projection found at the distal end of the medial supracondylar ridge. It is more prominent than the lateral epicondyle of the humerus.
The medial epicondyle contains the groove for ulnar nerve. It provides origin sites for the superficial group of muscles of the anterior compartment of the forearm, as well as an attachment site for the ulnar collateral ligament.
