Description

The medial surface of navicular bone is the rough area on the medial aspect of the bone. It is one of the six surfaces of the navicular bone, the other five being the plantar, dorsal and lateral surfaces, and the proximal and distal articular surfaces.

The medial surface of navicular bone contains its tuberosity and provides attachment sites for the dorsal cuneonavicular ligament and the tibionavicular part of medial collateral ligament of ankle joint.
