Description

The obturator crest is the anteriorly located margin on the superior pubic ramus. It is one of the three borders of the superior pubic ramus, the other two being the pecten pubis and the inferior border of superior pubic ramus, and it separates the pectineal and obturator surfaces of the superior pubic ramus. It extends, laterally, from the pubic tubercle to the acetabular margin.

The obturator crest provides an attachment site for the pubofemoral ligament.
