The obturator surface is the area on the anteroinferior aspect of the superior pubic ramus. It is one of the three surfaces of the superior pubic ramus, the other two being the pectineal and pelvic surfaces, and it is an area that is bounded:
—anteriorly, by the obturator crest;
—posteriorly, by the inferior border of superior pubic ramus.
Its medial end is continuous with the anterior surface of body of pubis and its lateral end is continuous with the acetabulum.
