The palmar surface is the rough, non-articular, anterior aspect of the lunate bone. It is larger than the dorsal surface and provides attachment sites for the:
—lunotriquetral ligament;
—ulnolunate ligament;
—radioscapholunate ligament;
—long and short radiolunate ligaments.
