Description
The palmar surface of pisiform is the non-articular, spherical, anterior aspect of the bone. It provides an origin site for the abductor digiti minimi muscle, and an insertion for the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle. It also provides attachment sites for the:
—pisometacarpal ligament;
—pisohamate ligament;
—transverse carpal ligament.
