Description
The palmar surface is the rough, non-articular, anterior aspect of the scaphoid bone. It contains the tubercle of scaphoid and provides an origin site for the abductor pollicis brevis muscle. It also provides attachment sites for the:
—flexor retinaculum of hand;
—radioscapholunate ligament;
—scaphotriquetral ligament.
