Description
The palmar surface is the rough, non-articular, anterior aspect of the trapezoid bone. It provides an origin site for the flexor pollicis brevis muscle and attachment sites for the:
—palmar trapeziocapitate ligament;
—scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal ligament;
—palmar trapeziotrapezoidal ligament;
—palmar carpometacarpal ligaments.
