Description

The posterior process of talus is the rough prominence found on the posterior aspect of the bone. It contains the medial and lateral tubercles of talus, with the groove for tendon of flexor hallucis longus muscle located in between them.

The posterior process of talus provides attachment sites for the medial and posterior talocalcaneal ligaments and the posterior talofibular ligament.
