Description

The scaphoid articular facet is the flat, crescent-shaped area found on the lateral aspect of the lunate bone. It articulates with the lunate articular facet of the scaphoid bone, forming the scapholunate joint. It also provides an attachment site for the scapholunate interosseous ligament, which connects the scaphoid and lunate bones.
