Description

The scaphoid articular facet of radius is the triangular, laterally located area found on the inferior aspect of the distal part of the bone. It is one of two facets that make up the carpal articular surface of the radius, the other being the lunate articular facet of the radius.

The scaphoid articular facet of radius articulates with the radial articular facet of the scaphoid bone, forming the radioscaphoid joint. This joint contributes to the formation of the radiocarpal (wrist) joint.
