Description
The sternal facet (sternal articular surface) of the clavicle is the convex, quadrangular, articular area found on the medial aspect of the sternal end of the bone. It articulates with the clavicular notch of the manubrium of the sternum, forming the sternoclavicular joint, and provides an attachment site for the interclavicular ligament.
