Description
The sternal end (sternal extremity, internal extremity, or medial end) of the clavicle is the enlarged, quadrangular, medial part of the bone. It contains a sternal facet, which articulates with the clavicular notch of the manubrium of the sternum and the first costal cartilage, forming the sternoclavicular joint.
