Description

The superior border (cranial border or cranial margin) of scapula is the thin, superiorly located edge of the bone. It extends from the superior angle of the scapula to its superior scapular notch and is the shortest of the three borders of the scapula, the other two being the medial and lateral borders.

The superior border of scapula provides an origin site for the inferior belly of omohyoid muscle.
