Description

The trochlea of humerus is the smooth, pulley-shaped projection found on the inferomedial aspect of the condyle of the humerus. It is the medial of the two articular projections located at the distal end of the condyle of the humerus, the other being the capitulum. These two articular projections are separated from each other by a shallow groove.

The trochlea of humerus articulates with the trochlear notch of ulna, forming the humeroulnar joint, contributing to the formation of the elbow joint.
