Description
The body (shaft) of eleventh rib is the long, curved part of the bone that extends from its head to its costal end. It is flattened in appearance, where it has external and internal surfaces and superior and inferior borders.
The body of eleventh rib consists of a shallow costal groove and a subtle angle, and provides attachment sites for the intercostal muscles.
