Description

The body is the centrally located, large, pyramidal part of the maxilla. It consists of the maxillary sinus and four processes extend from it:

—a superiorly located frontal process;

—an inferiorly located alveolar process;

—a laterally located zygomatic process;

—a medially located palatine process.
