Description

The clavicular notches are the oval indentations found along the superior border of the manubrium of the sternum. They are superolaterally facing articular areas located on either side of the jugular notch of the sternum. Each clavicular notch articulates with the sternal facet of the clavicle on its respective side, forming the sternoclavicular joints.
