Description

The crown (anatomical crown) is the inferior portion of the maxillary second premolar tooth that is covered by enamel. It is separated from the root by the cervical line and consists of five surfaces (buccal, lingual, mesial, distal, and occlusal) and two cusps.

The clinical crown is a term used to describe the inferior portion of a maxillary tooth that is not covered by gingiva when viewed in the oral cavity.
