Description

The incisal margin is the inferiorly located, cutting edge of the maxillary central incisor tooth. It meets the:

- labial surface at the labioincisal angle;

- lingual surface at the linguoincisal angle.

For descriptive purposes, the incisal margin of a tooth can be divided by two vertical lines into three portions. In a mesial to distal direction, these are the:

- mesial third;

- middle third;

- distal third.
