Description
The inferior border (lower border) of second rib is its sharp lower edge. It lies immediately inferior to the costal groove, which itself is located on the ribs inner surface. It is one of the two borders of the body of the second rib, the other being the superior border.
The inferior border of second rib provides origin sites for the external, internal and innermost intercostal muscles.
