Description

The inferior border (lower border) of tenth rib is its sharp lower edge. It lies immediately inferior to the costal groove, which itself is located on the ribs inner surface. It is one of the two borders of the body of the tenth rib, the other being the superior border.

The inferior border of tenth rib provides origin sites for the external abdominal oblique muscle and the external, internal and innermost intercostal muscles.
