Description

The inferior surface is the narrow area found along the lower aspect of the body of sphenoid bone. The inferior surface of the body of sphenoid bone:

—consists of the sphenoidal rostrum;

—articulates with the superior border of vomer, contributing to the formation of the sphenovomerine suture;

—contributes to the formation of both the right and left nasal cavities.
