Description

The lateral surface of sacrum is the lateral aspect of the bone. Its superior end is wide and becomes progressively narrower inferiorly until it reaches its end at the inferolateral angle. It consists of the auricular surface and the sacral tuberosity.

The lateral surface of sacrum provides attachment sites for the sacrotuberous, sacrospinous, and interosseous sacroiliac ligaments.
